How we do anything, is how we do everything, routines play a big role in who we are and what we become. Seeing our dreams come to life takes more than having concise goals and clear action plans, it also needs routines that create habits that stick. When you look back and track all the goals you have achieved in the past you will find that whether you were aware of it or not, you have a routine that led to your success. Here are the benefits of creating a routine:
- 1. Better time management because you know exactly what to do and how you’re going to do it.
- 2. Heightened focus for particular tasks.
- 3. Stress management . So, routines are very beneficial for managing day to day stress and can help with your mental health. When you have a routine of what you are doing you can easily become aware when things start going south and because you have a clear head, it becomes easier to wisely reorganise your schedule without panicking.
Daily habits really are the fortitude of our days because they help with consistency, and I bet we can all agree that consistency is key to success. I know that routines can be daunting for some people but some things just cannot be achieved without set routines. So when you set your routines start with the little things and the more you repeat them, the more you establish strong foundations for habits that will set you on a path to great achievements.
With this in mind, go on and write down routines that will be overall beneficial for all your goals, an example of this would be the habit of working out 3 days a week, for a minimum of 20 minutes a day because working out helps lift your mood and it rises your productivity levels.
When you have established these routines, go on and set routines tied specifically to every one of your goals. This can look like saying you will dedicate an hour every Tuesday from 18:00 – 19:00 to attend baking classes so that you may learn a skill. What will greatly help you is establishing a morning routine that will set the tone for how your day goes, as well as a night routine which will help you unwind and reflect on your day.
